2. Hosting
This website runs on a VPS server that I use. Technically necessary data is processed as part of hosting to provide the website and maintain stable, secure operation.
3. Server log files
When you visit this website, the server automatically processes technically necessary information. This may include:
- IP address,
- date and time of access,
- page or file requested,
- amount of data transferred,
- browser type and version,
- operating system,
- referrer URL.
This processing helps keep the website secure and working reliably, and allows abuse and attacks to be detected and prevented.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to provide my online services securely, reliably and efficiently.
4. Audience measurement with Rybbit
This website uses Rybbit for privacy-friendly audience measurement. I run the Rybbit instance myself on a VPS server.
In my current setup, no cookies are stored on your device for this purpose.
The data is processed to analyse use of my website statistically and improve its technical operation and content.
This may include information about pages visited, times, referrers, devices, browsers and technical usage data, where necessary for statistical analysis.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to analyse use of my online services with minimal data and improve my website.
5. Recipients of data
Data is generally not shared with third parties unless this is necessary to operate the website technically or I am legally required to do so.
The VPS or hosting provider I use may have access to personal data where technically necessary. It processes this data only on my behalf.
6. Retention periods
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or where statutory retention obligations apply.
Server log files are generally deleted after 30 days unless they are needed for security analysis.
Rybbit analytics data is deleted and anonymised after six months unless longer retention is necessary.
7. Your rights
Under applicable law, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

10. Support form, ThriveDesk and Turnstile
You can send a request directly to nuweb through the support page. When you submit the form, your name, email address, category, subject, description, any website address you provide and the source page are processed. For technical problems, details about your browser, operating system, window and screen size, language, time zone, cookies, touch support and browser identifier are added. These technical details are not sent for other categories.
Your support request is sent to ThriveDesk and created there as a support conversation. ThriveDesk processes the information on nuweb’s behalf to manage the request, send a confirmation and keep subsequent correspondence together.
For a new support conversation, nuweb sends a notification through Pushover. Only the customer’s name, subject and a direct link to the support conversation are shared. Pushover does not receive the message text or attachments.
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect against automated abuse. Turnstile may process connection and browser data when the form loads. To limit repeated submissions, nuweb stores only a keyed hash of the IP address for no more than 60 minutes.
An optional attachment is stored on nuweb’s VPS outside the public web area. It can only be accessed through a random, unguessable link and is deleted automatically after seven days. The data is processed to answer your request, provide agreed support and protect the form against abuse.
